Opening links

Postby chossmonkey » Tue May 13, 2008 1:13 pm

Is there anyway to change a setting so when I click on a link it opens in a new tab instead of the current tab I'm browsing CEC on?

I looked through my "user control panel" and couldn't find it. Is that an admin thing? Can it even be done?

I've set up the menu bar to open a new window but I don't know if there is a way to change php3 to do this.

I'll take a look when I have some spare time. In the meantime you can check out phpbb.com help forums to see if there is anything there.

I found this.. http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/links-opening-new-windows/

I don't know if it would be worth the effort. I thought maybe there was just a setting that needed to be switched.

If I remember to I can just open it in another tab with Firefox.

Old habits. :?

Yeah probably not going to mess with that. MODs are a pain when it comes to updating to newer versions.

I dunno if this applys, but just incase it does, in HTML, you can do this (example stolen from the net):

<a href="http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.com/xx/xxx.html" target="_blank">link text</a>

to have a link that is clicked open in a new window. target="_blank" is the key.
