Military Training in Welsford.

Postby Danny Mac » Wed May 17, 2006 5:51 pm

Hello,

I just want to inform everyone that there will be Mountain Operations Training taking place in Welsford on the following dates: 24-26 May '06 and 29-01 June '06.

I am not sure of what areas we are planning on using yet, but we will be using alot of fixed lines and rappel sites. There will be rope twisted through some of the scrambles and rap sites likely in Pooh's Corner and the Waterfall and maybe the Upper Tier. Also, we will be conducting Raising and Lowering of Casualties, so don't get alarmed if you see someone in a Rescue Basket or Sked.

Thanks

If there is training there this weekend I doubt that you will be allowed to go when you call in to register anyways.

Be sure to call before you go to confirm.

cheers.

We are not training there this weekend, and we have no problem with anyone being in the area. However of course it is up to Range Control whether or not they are going to allow recreational passes for area 40. But like I mentioned we have no probs with others being there especially if the weather is great.
