Racoons

Just a little PSA concerning a pair of Racoons that have taken up residence near the top of Main Wall at Kingston Crag. When clipping the anchor for any of the routes there (Odysseus, Cleopatra) you can look down and see them in a chimney. They are down there about 10 feet or so. No big deal really but they could give you a bit of a surprise if you were not expecting them.

I'll never forget the day that Fred and I were climbing near Shawn and Denise and he was leading up Dynamic Duo... he got to the crux, put his hands in behind the block, and trapped between his hands and the back of the crack was a Pigeon. Denise was laughing, Shawn was squirming and swearing....

all this just to say.. that wildlife can give you a bit of a surprise (and entertain others around you) if you aren't expecting it. LOL!!
The phrase "working mother" is redundant. ~Jane Sellman

If a husband speaks in the woods, and his wife is not there to hear him...is he still wrong?
