Rock School 2010

Postby UNB Rock & Ice Club » Tue Sep 28, 2010 8:18 am

Hello Climbers,

This weekend UNB Rock & Ice will be hosting Rock School. Saturday we'll be occupying Bald Peak and Sunday we'll likely stay concentrated around Pyramid, Joe's Garage (right end), and possibly Exfoliated. We'll have top-ropes set up all day on the easy/moderate routes.

If you arrive to find us occupying a line you'd intended to lead that weekend please just ask our group politely and we'll move our ropes aside for you. That said, we'd appreciate it if perhaps you could plan your Sunday on Minkey, L-Shape, Waterfall, etc. There's plenty of crag to share.

If you've got any concerns just give me a message or we can talk on Sunday. Thanks all.

Has anyone checked out access to the trail head at Bald Peak?
The last time I was there the new highway construction was cutting through the trail head area.

Yes Jon,

I hiked up there 2 weeks ago with Jill specifically to check it out. There are no access issues and there is ample parking. Cheers.

Are you camping out this weekend?

Is Rock School camping at the farmers field this year?

My ticklist for Sunday:
Reindeerland
Leviathan
Mamalian Protuberances
Snakepeel
It's A Way of Life
Mental Hygiene
Menal Floss
Juggler
Montezuma's Revenge
I've never done all in one day before and I think now's the time.

I am missing 2 oval locking biners from rock school. They are taped red. If you find them in your stuff I would love to get them back.
