Trail Maintenance

Postby Joe » Thu Oct 21, 2010 4:35 pm

I'll work on the trails, mainly the boardwalks, during the Cleanup. I just left 6 cedar logs at the base of the trail, to be used for the boardwalks. It would be greatly appreciated if climbing parties could carry some logs up to the boardwalks when they are going by. Thanks, Joe.

I carried one up to the first bridge after the sign-in box and I think Cory, Kristy, and Lucas each carried one up so should be two left.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Yeah, I was very impressed to see all of the logs were carried up. Thanks to all the Sherpas! Dan and I rebuilt one section, and built a new section of boardwalk. I still have to reinforce one existing section, and I think I'll build another new section over rough ground.

I forgot to mention... I apologize in advance for the next poor soul that climbs the first pitch of Fandango. I did some heavy gardening but it left the route covered with dirt. A couple more passes and it should look a bit better. This is still on my list for the clean-up weekend.
