Ice climbing info

Postby GKelly » Wed Jan 12, 2011 8:27 am

Hey all, I have a friend in Montreal and we'd like to meet half way to do some ice climbing? Where is my best bet?
I know Gaspe has ice but it's a little far (12 hour train ride from Montreal). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Greg.

Well it's not exactly in the middle but North Conway is an awesome ice destination!
It would be 4 hours for your friend and about 7 for you assuming you still live in Norton.
Remember though it might say ''Live free or die'' on the NH licences but that state has more regulations than Soviet Russia. (especially concerning liquor sold in bars...)

If not there is also Grand-falls but I've never climbed there so dunno conditions, ambiance, etc.

Cheers!

I know its not half way, but Quebec city has AMAZING ice!, Pont Rouge, Chut Montmorency, Village Huron, Parc de La Jacques Cartier and lots more!
