Orpheus FA ~A2+ to A3 (previously known as Cerebus)

Orpheus (previously known as Cerebus), Amphitheatre
FA - Erick Burley and Chris Norfolk, September 2011
~A2+ to A3 as is - unconfirmed.

- Start on the left side of the cave below the bolt. ~ 110 feet, 1 pitch, 3 bolts on the route, 2 bolt rap anchor at the top shared with Odin - one 60m rope to the ground.
- Some dirty cracks, some loose rock/blocks and some poor quality rock mixed with some Ok to good quality rock. Can be wet - we got on it on one of the driest days it saw this year - little to no water. Done ground up with sissy style - hand drilled 3 bolts due to extremely questionable to extremely poor rock quality and to keep off the deck given the poor gear below. The 3rd bolt is questionable in terms of necessity, but I could get nothing solid enough to weight in the muddy crack to the left other than an arrow that would easily move up and down – again the gear below that was suspect.
-The name seemed fitting with the tone of the day – Orpheus schooled me… in a good way.
