Wasp nest, nut recoverd

Postby Chris Hennigar » Thu Jun 23, 2005 11:09 am

Wasp nest near the top of "About a Rope" (Far Left on Pyramid). Right in the crux crack. Visible from traverse. Small and can be removed.

I traversed Left toward Minky and up a poor flake system to a large tree. Flakes are very sketch and dirty... I wouldn't recommend it.

FFA???? Variation C. Hennigar and J. Malysh "Wasp Traverse" 5.5 R TR

Also, recovered a nut on cheakbone... give me the color, brand, and location and it's yours.

It must be new this year cause I climbed "About A Rope" just before the closure and I didn't see anything. thx for the heads up though. I hate wasps.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Might be my nut. We forgot to bring up a nut tool the other weekend. WC nut on P-S ledge. Don't remember the size, but it was placed high on the left side.

Cheers,

Stef.
