More New Routes at DH and ADH

Postby Greg » Thu Dec 08, 2011 10:07 pm

We took advantage of some great weather on Monday to climb a couple of new routes at Down Home and Above Down Home.

The Gateway 5.8 PG 60' / N / T
FA: G. Hughes, S. Hughes 2011.12.05
FFA: G. Hughes, S. Hughes 2011.12.05
This route begins right of Waterfall Wall just past a roof in a left facing corner (about 10 feet left of Hot Apple Pie). Scramble up to a shelf and climb the crack in the face just left of the corner to a small ledge. Continue up on low terrain to a large softwood tree anchor.

Electric Avenue 5.9 PG 80' / N / T
FA: G. Hughes, S. Hughes 2011.12.05
FFA: G. Hughes, S. Hughes 2011.12.05
This route is found on Above Down Home Wall directly above The Gateway below a crack system that is 20 feet left of Crimson and Clover. Gain two ledges then ascend cracks to a diagonally sloping ledge at the top.

It wasn't for the low angle of the sun you would have thought it was a pleasant day in June - crazy weather.
