another Greenlaw route

Great day in the sun at Greenlaw yesterday - and no bugs!

Put up a mixed route just right of UFO (farleft of Mothership Wall). Warm and Salty - 5.10d (ish - grade unconfirmed); 3 bolts and then at least 4 gear placements in an easily protected (G) crack (big nuts, smallish cams). (The gear climbing is 5.8 ish.) Nice climb; the crux is a little tricky to work out, but well protected with bolts. Thanks to Rob Lemmon for putting in the rap ring bolt anchor!

Also did a new, nice dirty trad route directly above Warm and Salty (anchor can be reached by climbing Close Encounters 5.8 ). "Champlain's Winter Vacation" 5.5 G 30m. Climb up from the bolt anchor at top of Warm and Salty, through a slightly overhang crack just right of a pine tree (crux), then trend left up through a nice crack, then right to finish at a tree anchor. Gets you within walking distance of the top of Greenlaw and offers great views of St. Croix River, St. Croix Island, Maine etc - worth it just for the view (or to say you did a multipitch : ).

The phrase "working mother" is redundant. ~Jane Sellman

If a husband speaks in the woods, and his wife is not there to hear him...is he still wrong?
