horse mountain

This summer we took a drive around baxter state park, maine. Just outside the north entrance/gate there is a huge chossy rock face (200-300 feet high) that is near vertical with a huge roof near the top. Its on the side of what the locals call horse mountain. Its bigger than anything around NB and only a 5 min walk from the main road. Its no good for rock climbing but may have some ice. It looked damp and mossy in spots, and its large enough that there were large shaded corners that I'm sure would seep water. It would be worth checking out. Its about an hour from Houlton, Maine/Woodstock NB. Take I-95 towards bangor and follow the signs for the north entrance into baxter. 1 mile from the baxter gate is the cliff, you can't miss it!
