Climbing Magazine article

Postby pulldown » Fri Dec 03, 2004 11:31 am

I've been looking around for the December issue of Climbing but haven't been able to track down a copy. If anyone has a copy of the Nova Scotia article i would love to see it.

I saw the article and I didn't think it was anything impressive, some sweaping shoots of Dover Island, talking about Dover Island, and some shoots of people climbing some problems at Dover Island.

Don't get me wrong, Dover Island is great, but I'm getting a little tired of people saying, "Wow, you're from Nova Scotia, you ever been to Dover Island?". I then say yes, and that Dover is really cool, and then try to tell them about the other fantastic areas including the crags (with short [on a whole] but beautiful lines). There's a lot of great rock in NS, while it is nice that it's getting a reputation its a pity that it's only a small portion of it.

Mostly the article was eye candy of photos of white granite.....I miss white granite :(

Have you tried Chapters? I know its kinda hit and miss, but I've seen it there in the past.

If anybody wants a copy i'm coming home next week (from T.O.) and i can pick one up
(that was pretty cool surprise, i slipped into a cigar shop to warm up and opened the first climbing mag is saw and there was beautiful NS. i was maybe a little too excited).
Who wants to leave buttprints in the sands of time?
