Short answer is "blew donkeys".
We went to the wrong falls, to start. Then found no ice and hiked to find more being unsucessfull. Nice hike, good people, nice day. Better than work.

Which way did you hike in and was the river frozen in the gorge?

We went to the West branch, and the river had areas that were frozen but not walkable.

Oh would you look at that... All dressed up with no place to go...!

Enjoy the film festival. Sorry I couldn't make it.
