So how can I become hardcore like you guys and climb in single digit weather? Or is Hardcore the right word I'm looking for?

cheers,

Dress warm or climb in the sun.

Motivated might be the word you are looking for.

We are soo far from hard core. I think Hard core is defined by going out in double minus digits. I'll only do that once.

So Main face, Rich your hard core! Do you want in? Stevo, Sean K, Sean C, Sean T, I'm calling you ladies out!

I am visiting Halifax from Montreal for the week and would love to go climbing this weekend... I did not bring any warm clothes, but I'm tough... I'm not super strong as just coming back from an injury but would like to follow / be a belay slave ! :-p
I never climbed in NS before, so i don't know where to go - so I guess I'm just looking for someone to take me. I have a car.

Thanks,
Natalie

I`m up for some climbing on sunday! Bouldering or rope climbing, I have both a rope and a crash pad and I really want to start climbing outside again.

Ok, I'm pretty keen for Sunday. Won't be climbing hard due to entire winter beer drinking and generally lying on the couch. Could drive thru town for pickup. Mainface or first face is favourite.

I'd be down for some sunday climbing. Climbing at Sorrows End today was brilliant. I could actually climb in a t-shirt and the rock was warm under my hands! Where to? Main face?

hey- stevo, sandrine, nate, natalie, scooter, etc. Sunday looks like a session- how does mainface sound to everyone? leave halifax around 10/10:30 ish? or i'd be psyched earlier as well. Who has rides/ needs rides. I can take me and nate and maybe a couple others but would prefer to car pool if possible.

Sorrows end was stellar today- warm but not greasy- good times

I'd sooner meet out at the Tim Hortons, Main St. near the Sobeys and junction of 118 with 107 say at 10.30 am. I could take 3 people from there. If someone really needs a ride then I could make a detour through town. Mainface sounds ok. I'd be looking to do a few easy trad routes.

Cheers

Glad to hear people are getting out. I am sole parenting this weekend, which means running an unpaid taxi service, and can't attend. Enjoy!

sounds good to me- can I get directions to the Tims from either bridge, haven't been over to dartmouth much except for RAT and GZ- I'd be up for some trad for sure- any one else need a ride (I need to clean my bed out of the car to fit more than one person)

Ben: to get to the Tim's he is talking about it's probably easiest to take the McKay bridge and keep going until you get to the Main St. exit. Take that, and keep going straight until you hit the SECOND Sobey's. The first one is right where the exit dumps you, and the second one is further down, across the street from the start of the highway to the airport. I think there's a tim hortons basically across the street from each one. The second time you'll hit it just before you get to the lights you can see the Sobeys on the other side of.

I hope that's the right one. :|

I'd like to go out, but honestly the idea of climbing outside on ropes kinda scares the crap out of me!
