Monday Night Bouldering Series, Week 3: Chebucto Head

Postby SteveDave » Wed Jun 11, 2008 11:15 am

Yes, we're going to Chebucto Head again. Yes, the directions are the same as Duncan's Cove.

Anybody who didn't send this monday on Tsunami, Ziggy Stardust or Tough Sailors, here's your chance. The weather's been perfect the past two weeks, I'm hoping for the same this time around. Mad sesh last time, btw!

Just for redundancy's sake, here are the directions again (from Zig's book):

To get there, take the Herring Cove exit from the Armdale (Roundabout). Follow Herring Cove Road through Spryfield, passing a number of traffic lights. Follow the road for nineteen kilometers, and you will see a small sign on your right instructing you to turn left for Chebucto Head. Follow Chebucto Head Road which is very narrow and bumpy for about 4km. At the end of the road is a lighthouse and a small parking area for the public.

Also, the Google Maps thing:

So, yeah! See you guys Monday.

I brought my harness last week, but saw no others. I will again ...
A monk asked Quiglin Shiqian, "What is a person who has realized the Way?"
Quiglin said, "Embracing the ice and snow, head and eyebrows held high."

I have a favour to ask.

I don't get in from work until a little after 5, which doesn't really give me much time to get to the rotary. i was wondering if anyone travels from around the Highfield area, so that i may be able to hitch a ride. i'm more than happy to pay gas money. I've never really climbed outside, and thought i would give it a try this year. only problem is getting out there by 6.

If anyone has space in their car i would be very grateful. Let me know.
