camping/climbing destinations

Postby aidasr » Tue Jun 17, 2008 6:51 pm

Where should i go to camp (preferably for free) near a good tall cliff. I was thinkinng about places like easter island or musqoudoboit somewhere ( but have heard that camping isnt allowed near certain cliffs). Im looking to get some climbing done while hiding in the forest..longer trad lines, sport routes, whatever..something longer than 40ft will do just fine.

suggestions?

We've camped at Sorrows End on top of the cliff. Free. climbing is great. Just make sure you don't sleep walk....

We only camped one or two nights I don't remember. I also don't remember where we parked.. it was a LONG time ago...before the terrence bay boulders were closed!

Maybe Fred remembers....? Fred?

You can't camp near any of the walls on pace lake ( private owners asked for it not to happen ). You can rent the cabin at main face, but its over 100 bucks.

Sorrow's end would be a good spot. Park at the fish plant and walk in.
