The Benjamins got burned by baby business! Our Font trip is canceled... for now.

Everything is ok babywise. The thing is that even though the due date is July 13, apparently according to medical experts, babys can come early, Up to 5 weeks! Who knew? I ran it by Tawnya and she would really appreciate it if I was in Canada and at the hospital with her when this baby thing goes down. With a late May deadline at school and this new baby comes on it's own time window, there was not enough time for the trip to France that we were planning.

At the same time, with a baby/kid and a job you may not get an opportunity in the future. Sometimes you need to do things when you get a chance to do them or they will never be done.

oh, dude...I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you must not have kids (and reply gently before Cara replies with what I predict will be a serious ass-kicking)!

1. I haven't heard of many women who were looking forward to attempting labour as a solo venture,

2. travelling with a kid/job is totally possible - different, for sure, but entirely possible, and last but not least,

3. it is, in fact, acceptable to travel without your family (post arrival of children and job, that is).

Chossmonkey, life is not over when you have kids.

Jeremy, do not fear, your day in Font will come!

Most importantly... you can reschedule a trip but you can't reschedule that perfect birthday. It's not to be missed. :)
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

No, but everything else takes a back seat.

You just don't like the idea 'cause I'd make you take the mommy's role. :P

Seriously though, I know some mommies who have found that balance between kids, climbing and travel and are kick ass climbers.
