Climb Nova Scotia presents …

Monday Night Bouldering 2010
Courtesy of… Stamp & Scooter
In Association With … Ground Zero Climbing Gym

Here we have it folks! The long anticipated schedule for Monday Night Bouldering!! We decided to start it a couple weeks early this season for all of you who are psyched!! Everyone is welcome - from the novice climber who just bought their first pair of shoes to the advanced who just wants to CRUSH!. Come on out for a great time shared amongst good people. Shoot the flowers, gather beta, and make friends and all that other sappy stuff! Bring your friends, family, or dog, whatever!

SO THIS IS THE DEAL: We meet every Monday (if it is pouring lets head indoors for a session, eh?!) at the Armdale Rotary in Halifax, for 6:00pm! Try to get there a bit early as we will leave as close to 6:00pm as possible, so aim for 5:45-5:55pm! We will carpool to a different destination every Monday so if you do not have a car, do not worry! Just show up and we will carpool the best we can. We have always been successful in the past and climbers are always willing to share a seat. If you want to pitch in for gas I am sure it will be much appreciated! Climb Nova Scotia will bring some pads but if you have one please bring it. The more the merrier! The schedule is below.

***NOTE: We understand these areas may not cater to everyone. Therefore, if we deem necessary we may change the destination without notice. Please try to be there before departure at 6:00pm so you are in the loop!***

Stamp and I both can't make

Chris and I will be representing CNS and will be at the Rotary before 6...come on out. Make sure you bring good footwear because it's not all easy walking.

See you soon,

The Monday Night Bouldering series is a great way for people to get out and experience new parts of the province and meet climbing partners. Everyone is welcome and we'd certainly love to have you come join us. Tonight the plan is to visit Polly's Cove and the Joey Ramone area, both of which are off the 333 highway between West Dover and Peggy's Cove. We meet in the church parking lot at the Armdale Rotary around 5:45 and carpool from there, departing at 6pm sharp.

You will want to bring warm clothing, sturdy footwear for hiking, and maybe a headlamp. The approach is less than 15 minutes from the car, but there is some scrambling involved and climbing on the coast can be chilly if it's windy.

See ya out there!

The dogs weren't the only thing getting hip thrusting action tonight - two feet in the air and a hand in the bush :P

For anyone who was at Lake & Satellite on Monday, I thought we were just joking around, but I guess beavers really are the vicious killers we made them out to be.

Who knew! :D

that first picture makes me dizzy...

I'm glad to see you guys ended up going to Nouveau Riche instead of the scheduled gros poisson. It would have been gross with heat, and poissonous with bugs I think.

I opted for the coast instead.

nice pics!

Darn! I missed it! I went golfing with my father and thought about climbing the whole time... It did keep my mind of how terrible my golf game is.

I'm going to assume with the nice weather that Monday night is happening.

I'm interested in staying out late, so if anyone else wants to climb till midnight (or till whenever), bring your lanterns.

Stamp? Toddles? Mick? Ben? Chris? Heather? Jessica? I know you guys got lanterns!

Hopefully see you all tonight!

I am psyched on Memorial tonight. I'll be bringing my lantern with fresh mantles baby!
Stamp, both your mantles will probably break tonight, I've got a feelin' buddy. Better bring backup mantles for both of us just to be safe.

Grover tonight (provided someone who knows the way in shows up, cause I don't).

It's a long hike in and the area is spread out a bit.

BRING A HEADLAMP!!!!!!!!!

I don't know how much more clear I can be. If you don't bring a headlamp, you won't be able to see once the sun goes down.

Actually, on second thought Chebucto Head/Duncan's Cove is probably a better choice.

There have been some issues in the past with parking at Grover. Given this year's Monday Night Bouldering motorcades of 10+ cars, Grover is probably not the best choice.
