Nice day to be outside... on whatever you can find to climb

I went to the climbing gym on my lunch break, as usual, but the gym was not open. Hopefully Sean was just late getting back from a Friday morning session, and it was not something more serious delaying him.

Anyway, not to be daunted I put my moccasins on and headed over to that boulder in the vacant lot adjacent to the gym. Turns out there is a fairly burly travers from the back side around the overhanging parking lot side and finishing on the slab. I got a solid workout working on the bata and had a lot of fun climbing in the hot sun and cool breeze.

It is not exactly a destination, but if you are waiting around to get in the gym, that boulder does have some stuff to climb on it. You may need chock though, as it is a lot softer and smoother than the rock most of us are used to climbing on.

Has anyone else climbed on it?

Sean posted on here a while ago about the geckos throwing down on a boulder outside GZ. Not sure if it's the same one.
