Hey Friends in the NS climbing community,
On a recent climbing adventure, had a bit of bad luck and underwent an unfortunate series of events. I went from having a full trad rack and a locked car, too having an unlocked car and no climbing equipment.... this, obviously sucks.

So, you too can join the sponsor a climber program!
I'm looking to rebuild some semblance of a rack, If you've got trad gear, I'm looking to buy.

If you've got some old nuts, you haven't placed in years, i'm down...
Sketchy hexes older then jesus, i'm down...
Old school rigid stem cams, you better believe, i'm down...
Just looking for deals

To trade: Grigri, climbing holds, various guidebooks across Canada, moonshine.

Cheers,
Roger

Whoa, that seriously sucks!

Do you have renters/home insurance? Might be worth looking to see if your car insurance would cover it. Could make the worst thing that happened into the best thing that happened.

car insurance won't cover it, but home/tennent insurance would... you'd have to pay the deductible... and prove that you owned all that stuff... and reported it to the police. :)

Good luck. Fred and I had our Car and both wallets/purses stolen two weeks ago. It's a JOY.

duuuuude.

did this happen when you were in Rumney?? The real slap in the face in this scenario is its gotta be a climber who took it, what good is it to anyone else? It'd be pretty hard to hock a set of cams to a pawn shop!
Man, I thought climbers were an honest and good folk... *pristine climber image falls from pedestal in my brain*

Fred,

I bet it was a real joy to find "Your Purse" stolen.

My car gets stolen and all Cara was going on about was her purse and lipstick.

For the record, I locked my car like I do every night. The fault in the system was trusting the wife with my spare car key which she place in here purse in her unlocked car in our driveway.
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

Regardless, I should be able to leave my keys in the ignition... nothing gives anyone the right to steal our car!

of course not. I'm just saying that It isn't MY fault that the car was stolen just because I left my purse in it. Yes, that was stupid, I agree, but it doesn't warrant illegal behaviour.
