camping+ climbing beta sorrow's end, Columbus or G-spot

Postby Dom » Fri Oct 01, 2010 9:58 am

Hi Y'all, 4 of us Welsford locals are interested in Nova-Scotian crack(s). We're probably heading out tomorrow to hit Sorrow's end or Columbus wall or the recently developped G-Spot. I have specifically chosen these because they were recommended to me. Now from what I understand it's suppose to rain a bit tonight (Friday night) and therefore we would ideally want to hit a southern/southeastern exposed face on Saturday so we can climb dry cracks. So which one of these crags would be the lucky winner? (for the record face climbing on bolts is acceptable too, even tho I keep mentioning cracks... )
We would also be climbing Sunday...
Also, we're looking to camp out dirtbag style(i.e. at the cliffs without getting shot at). any recommendations?
So much rock, so little time

Sorrows is your best chance at dry climbing if it rains. Gspot and Columbus take a while to dry. However, if you do go to Columbus you could always head down the road 5min to First Face for some great sport climbing that also dries quickly. No camping at First Face though.
