Spent a weekend on the island and found that there actually IS climbing there. and not on crumbly orange dirt.
At Cabot Beach Campground just past Kensington there is a boulder!!! yes its true...think it may be limestone and most likely imported. This is huge news for the island climbers. Now dont get to excited it is only 5 feet high tops BUT it is covered in cool features and there are many wicked 1 and 2 move sit start problems. I have a proj there now...to traverse the whole boulder for a total of about 10 feet of gnarly butt draggin action. Anyone in the area should check it out..especially if you are under 4 feet tall.
