new routes in P.E.I

Postby ganu » Sat Aug 27, 2005 1:50 am

It would be cool to hear about anyone who has been climbing any new stuff in P.E.I, actually any stuff. Pictures would be awsome, and what style the climbing was done. I used to climb alot in P.E.I around the cliffs facing Governors Island and St. Peters Island, next to Fort Amerst. Also lots of stuff on the north shore, mainly ice and mixed. There is plenty of potential, one just has to have an open mind, and not be so caught up in how cool it is. Just because it is not mentioned in Rock And Ice doesn't mean it is not worth going to. So please post any of your experiences of climbing in P.E.I. It woud make a climbing bum in B.C very happy.

You've mentioned climbing near fort amherst before. Where exactly was that that you climbed?

Also, I have a photo of orby head for ice, do you know of any other places along the coast for ice climbing potential? I just got some ice axes, and can't wait til the ice forms.
