boulderfest rain-out plan?

Postby Ian_the_Barbarian » Wed Jun 21, 2006 9:48 am

Is there a plan if boulderfest is rained out? Does it get postponed or do we just say F-it for this year?

Boulderfest is rain or shine. (Shine=more climb) (rain=more drink)

Even when it rains there is always a window of oportunity at one point. There is enough wind that the rocks dry very quickly.

thicks = tyler
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

I think I mentioned this in another post, but... Boulderfest has been held three times on Saturdays with 60% chance of showers. So far it has always held off until after supper. Also, the rock drys fast. One year it pored Saturday night, but the rock was dry by 10:00 Sunday morning. It will likely go ahead unless there is 100% chance of heavy rain. Even if there are showers Saturday morning, there would likely be good climbing conditions by the afternoon.
