UNB Fall Competition/Slideshow/Party

UNB hosts its annual fall competition Saturday, Oct 21/06, 10am-2pm, all are welcome! Categories are Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Junior. A minimum of thirty new problems will be put up for the Comp, so come out and try them.

Where: UNB Lady Beaverbrook gymnasium, climbing wall
When: Saturday, Oct 21/06, 10am-2pm
Cost: $10 and a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank

Routes Setters: John Bowles and Ben Blakney

Please note the wall will be closed for route setting Thursday and Friday Oct 19-20, 2006

There will be a slideshow of the summer climbing trip to Europe and party at our place that evening. BBQ and BYOB, all are welcome. Directions available at the comp. Sunday is planned for Welsford for those who can handle it. Out-of-towners we have accomadations for you so no excuses!

Hi all,

A big thanks to John, Ben and others for making this comp happen. It was a HUGE success with 56 participants.

I will post scores later this weekend. Right now I am so pumped I can barely type...

Yikes! Etienne really blew everyone else out of the water! Good job on sending that 100,000 point problem buddy. It must have been about V16+ - minimum!

Etienne's score has been changed from 107,000 to 10,700

That was my first comp, and I must say, it definetley wont be my last. Thanks for the awesome experience. The environment and competitors were amazing, truly something to remember. JJ 6400pts. 3rd beg, MS 6550pts is 2nd beg.
