Trek the Himalayas in 2009/10

Postby STeveA » Thu Oct 30, 2008 4:46 pm

I am planning a trip to Nepal for Xmas 2009. We will climb a trekking peak (probably mera Peak) and trek through the Everest region. If anyone is interested let me know. The cost of the trip will be about $2000 plus airfare and will take about 24 days. This is not a commercial trip.

sigh. I would be very interested. Unfortunately with the kids this young, this goal will have to wait a few years. I look forward to your slide shows though! :)

We are going to climb Mera Peak and do a circuit over the Apso La past Ama Dablam. Probably wont go to Everest basecamp, but it is only a few days away if someone really wants to go.

Sounds awesome Steve - how many are going?

I'd better start my pro-rated time to get a year/semester off ;-)
maybe the next time!

As with all these trips there are always lots of people who say they want to go but then back out at the last minute. I will limit the group to 10 members.
