NBCCSJ Inquiry e-mail

Postby STeveA » Thu Dec 11, 2008 10:35 pm

I have been asked by several people why the Saint John wall is closed, and when it will open again. However, I do not have any information on the subject. I suggest that everyone should e-mail the college administration to inquire why the wall is suddenly closed and when it will be opening again (nicely). If the college sees the interest from the New Brunswick community (it is a community college) it might speed things along. The person to contact is Brenda Munro and her e-mail is brenda.munro@gnb.ca . The more coverage this gets the better.
You are, therefore I am. That is the question....

Lucas just told me the news. I did some research and found the following article http://www.allenpress.com/pdf/weme_17_308_187_1901.pdf. Is this worth sending at this point?

I cannot stress the importance of our community getting behind this. Please help us to keep our gym open...and lets also be nice :)

Hell, yes!

443 climbers, 1300 hours of climbing and only 4 significant injuries, an injury risk of less than 1% per climbing day......compare these results to football, soccer, basketball and hockey.

Climbing is by far, safer.

At this point it is best to just let them know that there are people in the community interested in the wall. Anything else would just complicate things.

I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.
