cam wire repair

Postby *Chris* » Thu Jun 26, 2008 1:50 pm

Question:

Does anybody have the tools/materials/skills to replace a busted trigger wire on my #4? I figure somebody must have purchased one of those kits in the recent past and has a bit left over. If so, that would be much appriciated. I could award a modest compensation for a quality job (i.e. some picaroons, being taken out for coffee, or a well-placed high-5!) Otherwise, It will be repaired with whatever household products are at my easy disposal. Thanks team!

You could take it to a bicycle shop and have them install a crimp that they use for brake cable terminations- probably cost you about $3 for the parts and labor (maybe $5)

That seems like a decent idea... if I give it a shot I'll let you know how it works. So... nobody in Fredericton has one of those cam kits?
