No, i wouldn't make that sort of statement toward the family name's homeland! Although my british grandmother might have a few snarky words to say....

Seems like good Scottish climbing conditions this weekend though.

Another shoulder injury sham-eleon? These are spreading like the lurgy, that makes four of us so far afflicted. Course, it could just be a seasonal thing.

" I'd give anything to out on the crag, fighting my way up those verglassed, off-width cracks but unfortunately my shoulder is out until next summer, guess I'll just have to stay home and drink this damn merlot"

Refer to chapter in Blackshaws Mountaineering on how to be a climber without actually climbing 'Spirit of the hills as seen through steamed up cafe windows'

This just in! I hear there was a Russian study done a few years back. This guy only trained one side of his body, to see what effects it would have. Turns out the both sides of the body grew ( strengthened ) as only one side was being trained. Perfect time to work on those one arm lock offs and pull ups!

Hey, turn to page 143 of your White Mountains guidebook to see a real hard man in action (Hugh Herr minus his legs leading Stage Fright, 5.12c X, and X is a real death runout).

I won't be complaining about minor injuries!

Cheers

The above smacks of blatant voice appropriation. Help, help, I am being repressed.

(Actually, it is 12 year old tawny port.)
A monk asked Quiglin Shiqian, "What is a person who has realized the Way?"
Quiglin said, "Embracing the ice and snow, head and eyebrows held high."
