Self Rescue Clinic

Postby brentc » Mon Jun 09, 2014 1:09 pm

I have 4 spots available for a self rescue clinic on Saturday June 14. We will meet at the Welsford Irving at 9am and the course will run until 4pm. The course will cover common knots, hitches and load releasable friction hitches. How to set-up a technical ledge, knot passing, as well as, ascending and descending scenarios. The location is TBD but I suspect Bear Mountain would be a good spot. To reserve a spot or for further information email info@climbingnb.ca

Although I do have some spares participants should have their own harnesses, helmets, belay device, 4-6 HMC locking carabiners, prusiks and two 20' 7mm cordelettes or equivalent power/tech cord. I do have spare 7mm cordelettes and prusiks but if you have your own please bring them.

Note: participants should have a strong understanding of rappelling, belaying and anchoring as prerequisites to this course.
