Looking for a parter

Postby Sacvalkenier » Sun May 04, 2014 5:10 pm

Hey I am moving to Bathurst early June and looking for someone who may be interested in climbing or bouldering. I'm not from the area so I have no idea what is around. I used to lead 5 10 but I'd say I'm down to a 5 8 since I had my son last summer. Just looking for someone who wants to go out and have some fun while climbing and enjoying the outdoors. I have a car and gear.

Most of the climbing in NB is in the Southern part of the province, I'm not aware of any climbing/climbers in the Bathurst area.
I just want to climb.

I know there is a small indoor wall at the NB Community College to meet some people and do some climbing, but I have a buddy in Bathurst who loves climbing but has yet to find anything worth climbing. The nearest place *might* be Kennedy Lakes (in the center of the province), where I've heard there is some bouldering to be discovered. After that, the next nearest place is as others have said, in the south of the province. Unfortunately, you're looking at a 3.5 hour drive to get to it.
