Postby peter » Sat Jan 08, 2011 11:09 am

Broken down ice climber entering his 50th year seeks inexperienced rope gun with more brawn than brains, to haul said old man up vertical ice around NS & eastern NB. Will contribute gas money, a vast knowledge of hidden ice formations, unrelenting dry wit, and unlimited Zen aphorisms for mutually satisfying relationship. Position available immediately. Sundays preferred.
A monk asked Quiglin Shiqian, "What is a person who has realized the Way?"
Quiglin said, "Embracing the ice and snow, head and eyebrows held high."

No, just a picture: I only climb with beautiful people. Summit shots only.

The requirements are waived for climbers over 50 under the "grandfather clause".

Jamie S. and I went out to this place: link

to try and find something to climb. Climbed a 60m flow in the WI2 to 3 range. Here's the pic: Image

picture makes it look like there was more ice than there was.

Hall's is just barely in - pretty thin, not leadable.

Two for the price of one. Comes with a shiny new set of Ergos.

Or...better yet, you should come to us instead (Canmore, AB, where we've been climbing ice since November, BOOOYAH).

Thanks Fred, but I had to figure out how to export a photo from iPhoto to my desktop since I couldn't use the attachment option otherwise.

Anyway....Peter...is this man beautiful enough!?

Hey Peter,
Looking to get out on some ice weekdays starting at the tail of next week if you're keen. It's been about six years since we last tied in together, Figured I should see if you're still up for teaching the young pups a thing or two.

As of today, I am off work on Friday, February 4/11, so this might work nicely.

Don't kid a kidder: the student is now the master. But I am game.
